| Statement For Pakhokku Monk Protest 31-oct-2007 WE SALUTE YOU! The monks of Burma have yet again taken to the streets in continuance of their demands for lower commodity prices, national reconciliation, & the immediate release of Aung San Suu Kyi & all political prisoners. We salute these true HEROES who dare to stand up for their country & their people, despite knowing that they face death, torture or imprisonment. Dear monks, your bravery and selflessness truly serve as inspiration to us all. We promise you that you will not be forgotten, & that we shall continue to stand together in our common struggle against this armed regime.

One Burmese has difficulty to Answer for below 10 years children

Last night, after watching all news (CNA , DVB, Mizzima), my wife and I, having conversation about burma. We are talking about how may people had died and soldiers used gun to kill, etc.. After listening our conversation, Suddenly, My young son asked me the question in English. "Soldiers are supposed to protect their country. Why are they killing Their own People???" I had difficulty in answering his question. I don't know how to answer. I just simply told him that " Burmese Soldiers are no good". Then, he asked me again "How about police??" After looking at singapore police and watching some movies, he always says that he want to become "police". I think that's why he asked this question. I just simply answer again " Burmese police are no good too". After that, when we asked what do you want to be after grown up, initially he jokes to us "to be the boss of Burmese Soldier in burma and he will commend the soldiers not to kill the people" But , later on he changed his mind ( I think not to get head-ache) and said, he want to become "Astronaut". Have a good week-end and let's pray for all our people in burma to get success. (Correction: Pls read 26.09.07 instead of 25.09.07 in below e-mail)
