Dear Saya [Allen],
I think it is difficult to get Malaysia VISA for the (non-residence /
no-blue IC) Burmese P/P holders. Even for those who worked in SGP with
Burmese P/P (no-blue IC), had difficulty in getting Malaysia Visas.
They will have to go and queue early in the morning at the Malaysian
Embassy in SGP and the Embassy will ask for a lot of legal documents.
Anyway, you can check with SGP residents.

The primary candidate for SPZP 2006 venue is Yangon. Singapore is
the secondary candidate, but it needs to be notified [at the latest] by
December 2005 if it needs to hold SPZP 2006.

I am pleased to inform you that Thynn Thynn has been awarded
"Outstanding Woman in Buddhism" and will be honored at the UN
International Day Activities to be held at UN in Bangkok on March 7,
2005.
She will travel to Myanmar on Feb 20, and then visit Bangkok to
receive her award on her way back to Sebastopol. I will not be
travelling with her as I have to take care of the Center during her
absence. She will be accompanied by 6 of her American Dhamma students.

Job Title:
Senior Unix Systems Administrator
Description:
Function as a member of the Unix Operations Team within the corporate
IT department. Function as a key participant in executing changes to
the SAN.
Duties to Include:
System setup and configuration of new servers, installation of OS,
installation of 3rd. party application software, administration of user
accounts, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of existing
server environments, investigation and implementation of tools,
scripts, and 3rd. party software to increase reliability and reduce
administrative efforts. Write scripts to automate system
administration tasks in a large production shop. Establish standards,
processes, and procedures. Provide On-Call 24/7 support on rotating
schedule to help team achieve high availability goals for compute
environments. Interface with various groups to gather requirements for
new projects and work technical issues.
Required Skills:
7 yrs. on the job experience with Sun hardware and Solaris OS in a
production environment. Very strong scripting skills. Proficient in the
following areas: Sun/Solaris administration and networking; Common
network and TCP/IP protocols (Telnet, FTP, SMTP, HTTP, DHCP, DNS);
VERITAS Volume Manager and File System administration. Experience in
Hitachi 9000 series arrays and McData SAN switches. Zoning and LUN
allocation on a large SAN environment.
Desired Skills:
Experience with High Availability or clustering SW, RAID Disk
Arrays, shared storage, and SANs. Working knowledge of Oracle Database
fundamentals relating to system configuration. LDAP administration.
Prior experience building out large scale enterprise environments.
