On Tuesday, August 9th and Beyond

1) Protest Singapore government! Boycott Singapore/Silk Airlines!!
2) Please call, fax, and/or email your nearest Singapore authorities, embassies, or consulates and say "Help Free Daw Aung San Suu Kyi or We Will Boycott Singapore/Silk Airlines."

Why: Singapore supports Burma’s dictators, State Peace and Development Council
(SPDC), economically and politically
Singapore is the major investor in Burma with $1.5 billion investment
Singapore is selling weapons to the killer regime
Singapore is trading with Burma’s drug lords

Request Singapore to:

1) Lead ASEAN nations in bringing pressure upon Burma’s junta to release our leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and all other political prisoners immediately
2) Insist that SPDC hold a meaningful dialogue with all democratic forces’ leader Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and all ethnic nationalities’ legitimate leaders as soon as possible
3) Urge SPDC to fully implement the 1990 general election result

If Singapore decides not to act on above requests or SPDC does not cooperate with its initiatives we urge the government to press the Singapore Airlines to divest Silk Air from Burma.

Requirements:

1) 6-12 months of intense boycott protests against Singapore Airlines
2) organize and recruit organizations, individuals that are Burmese or non-Burmese to join boycott protests at Singapore embassies or consulates, Singapore Airlines offices and other appropriate locations
3) everyone is asked to call, fax, or email to your closest Singapore embassies or consulates stating “Help Free Daw Aung San Suu Kyi or We Will Boycott Singapore Air”
